Click to EnlargeU.S. MARINES COMBAT Support in Vietnam. Seven films on one video:
[1] ON TARGET. Marine aviation has always specialized in close air support to its ground forces. This is the story of USMC aircraft in Vietnam as they concentrate on air strikes in support of Marines in combat.

[2] UMCJ. Aerial recon is a little understood mission but a vital part of modern warfare. In Vietnam it provided the intelligence so necessary to find and defeat the enemy. This is the fascinating story of a USMC Aerial Recon Squadraon in Vietnam.

[3] UGLY ANGELS. Marine helicopter pilots performed a variety of combat missions in support of troops in the I Corps area. This is the story of those "Ugly Angels."

[4] ENGINEERS UP! We often forget the many combat roles of engineer troops. Here we see road clearing missions, mine removal as well as construction activities of the USMC engineers.

[5] THE BATTLE. One of the earliest and still one of the best records of Leatherneck valor in Vietnam. Centered primarily around the 1965 Operation Piranha, this is filled with exciting footage of cross-the-beach landings, naval gunfire and close air support, plus artillery, treatment of the wounded and capture of VC prisoners.

[6] FULL BLADE. Often unknown and frequently neglected by protesting statesiders during the war were the successful Civic Action programs conducted by the Marine Corps in Vietnam. Illustrates food distribution and medical assistance as well as the harvesting of rice under Leatherneck protection in I Corps.

{7] EAGLE EYE BRAVO. Fantastic aerial footage of USMC Aerial Observers in combat as they provide essential information on enemy activities and positions.

This A video history of Americans in Vietnam featuring some of the most remarkable combat footage ever filmed. These exciting videos are so real you can almost smell the gunpowder, sweat and diesel fuel. The original films are from the U.S. government?s film archives. Some films were originally made to train replacement troops on what to expect in a combat situation and to build esprit de corps within the subject unit.

A few segments may have slight color fading. This video series was created using only the highest quality duplication equipment and materials. Film quality varies from fair to excellent. Each video contains at least one film on the specified unit or subject, and all films on each video contain material related to the subject title. Some films may appear on more than one video title.
