Part #1. Focused on the 1st and 6th Marine Divisions. Filmed by combat photographers. Men of the 1st and 6th Marine Divisions drive north to against increasingly fierce resistance from well-armed Japanese defenders to capture key airfields. Then house-to-house fighting in Naha. Considerable tank and infantry action, as well as information on Japanese suicide planes and boats. Rare color. 55 minutes.

PART #2: Focused on the 4th Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Regiment and 29th Marine Regiment of the 6th Marine Division as they continue to fight in fierce infantry and tank battles. Rare WWII color. 50 minutes.

This video contains rare WWII footage professionally transferred from 55+ year old film archives. Film quality varies from marginal to acceptable.
