4th INFANTRY 'IVY' DIVISION, Volume II. STEADFAST AND LOYAL. 1917-1994, including peacetime assignments. Limited production commemorative edition published with the cooperation of the proud 4th Infantry Division Association. This large 'coffee table size' volume contains an overview of the 4th Infantry Divison in World War I, including the deadly battles of St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne, the Marne and Vesle River in 1918. Then follow the IVY DIVISION in WWII on D-Day from Utah Beach to Cherbourg in June 1944, and on to the great battle of St. Lo and the charge to Paris. Other WWII battles and campaigns detailed include the Siegfried Line, the bloody meat-grinder Hurtgen Forest, Luxembourge and the Battle of the Bulge, and the 4th Infantry's unstoppable assault into Germany itself. The division lost 4,360 KIA and 16,424 WIA in WWII.
In Vietnam 1966-1970, the division lost 2,531 KIA and 15,229 WIA. An overview of the division's brave service in Vietnam is presented, including Camp Enari, Dak To, Tet '68, Operations Sam Houston, Paul Revere, Seward, Adams, MacArthur and Cambodia.
