WE TAKE NEW GUINEA. REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR, A 60th anniversary memorial DVD video. Narrated by Ronald Regan. Four combat films including the BATTLES OF TARAWA, MAKIN, PELELIU, NEW BRITAIN, & THE ADMIRALTY ISLANDS

Click to EnlargeThis documentary depicts the aftereffects of the bombing at Pearl Harbor during World War II. In November 1943, the Japanese still controlled the Philippines, the Indies, the Caroline Islands, the Marshall Islands, but the bloody battles of Tarawa and Makin broke their hold of the two most important atolls in the Gilbers.

In February 1944 Allied forces tackled the Admiralty Islands, isolated the islands of New Britain and New Ireland, and paved the way to finally taking New Guinea after two years of jungle fighting.

WE TAKE NEW GUINEA is a sixtieth anniversary memorial video, separated into four segments; "WE TAKE NEW GUINEA," "THE PACIFIC WAR," "BATTLES OF TARAWA AND MAKIN," and "FURY IN THE PACIFIC." Narrated by Ronald Regan. Approximately 90 minutes.
