Includes illustrated review, insignia, Medal of Honor, DSC, Silver Star, Purple Heart and other medal recipients, plus many members of each regiment, battalion and company. New Guinea and Luzon. First combat in New Guinea in June 1944 and faced fierce Japanese counterattacks near Lone Tree Hill Tirfoam River). Landed on Luzon in January 1945 where it fought in the largely in the rugged tropical mountains in smaller unit actions. 410 KIA, 1,957 WIA, 104. Died of Wounds. Large 9"x12" volume.
